Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to your purchase of products sold in New Zealand by Denco Audio Ltd. (Vifa NZ) from our direct to consumer website. Placing an order on the www.vifa.co.nz website or by telephone to a sales representative of Denco Audio Ltd, you accept that you have read, understood and agree to be bound to the terms and conditions set out in this document.

Shopping Terms & Conditions

Denco Audio has been operating in New Zealand for over 30 years so you can be assured that you are dealing with a reputable company.  Products displayed on the site shopping areas can be purchased using MasterCard and Visa credit cards via a secure payment gateway provided by Shopify. Customers can be confident that all of their details are protected by the latest security mechanisms and are used only for purposes of the transaction fulfilment. You will be asked to register as a member of Vifa NZ. Apart from the many member benefits, including occasional emails containing special deals, your shipping address details will be filed saving you the effort of entering these details each time you checkout. We will never share your personal information, or email address with any 3rd parties unless required to by law. We must receive payment details for the whole of the price for the goods that you order and all monies owing before your order can be accepted. Once payment details have been received by us we will confirm that your order has been accepted by sending an e-mail to you at the e-mail address you provide in your order form. Our acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us. Once your order has been accepted, you will receive an order confirmation via email. Please check this confirmation carefully and inform us immediately if there is a mistake on your order. If you would like to change or cancel your order, and your goods have not yet shipped we may be able to change this for you. Once the goods have shipped we cannot amend or cancel your order.


All prices in the shopping areas are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST (15% Goods and Services Tax). All prices are correct at time of publication, however we reserve the right to alter prices for any reason without notice. If this should happen after you have ordered a product, we will contact you prior to processing your order.  We reserve the right to cancel your order for the following reasons:
- We do not deliver to your location. Note we only deliver goods within New Zealand.
- One or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers.
- We have reason to suspect that credit card details are incorrect or you are not the authorised cardholder.
- Your contact details and or shipping address is incomplete. Please note: We do not deliver to PO Box addresses.
If we do cancel your order we will notify you by email and will refund to your account any sum deducted by us from your credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order. We shall have no liability to you for any loss suffered as a result of cancellation of your order.

Events beyond our control

We shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, breakdowns, failure of network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident.

Use of the Service by you

Your right to use the Service is personal to you. You may not authorise others to use the Service, and you are responsible for all of your own use of the Service and for preventing unauthorised use of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. Vifa NZ does sell products for children, but it sells them to adults, who can purchase with a credit card. If you are under 18, you may use Vifa NZ only with involvement of a parent or guardian. Vifa NZ reserves the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove and or edit content. You may not download, modify, transmit, or otherwise use any material from the Service for public or commercial purposes. Other than connecting to Vifa NZ's servers by HTTP requests using a web browser, you may not attempt to gain access to Vifa NZ's servers by any means, including, without limitation, by using administrator passwords or by masquerading as an administrator while using the Service or otherwise. You agree not to disrupt, modify or interfere with the Service or its associated software, hardware and servers in any way and you agree not to impede or interfere with others’ use of the Service. You further agree not to alter or tamper with any information or materials on, or associated with, Vifa NZ and/or the Service.


This Service provides general information about Vifa NZ and the products and services they offer. The information contained in the Service has been prepared solely for the purpose of providing information about Vifa NZ and the services and products we offer. Vifa NZ reserves the right to change, delete or move any of the material on the Service at any time without notice.  Vifa NZ shall not be liable to you or any third parties for any direct, indirect, special, consequential or punitive damages sustained arising out of your access to or inability to access the Service. This includes viruses alleged to have been obtained from the Service, your use of or reliance on the Service or any of the information or materials available on the Service, regardless of the type of claim or the nature of the cause of action. If any parts of these terms and conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude or limit our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.

Applicable Law

The Website (excluding any linked third party Websites) is controlled by Vifa NZ. By accessing this Website, you accept that any disputes about this Website or the Content are to be determined by the Courts having jurisdiction in New Zealand in accordance with the laws in force in New Zealand. Although this Website can be accessed throughout New Zealand and overseas, Vifa NZ does not represent that the content of this Website complies with the laws (including the intellectual property laws) of countries outside New Zealand. If you access this Website from outside New Zealand, you do this on your own responsibility and are responsible for ensuring compliance with all laws in the place where you are located.


  1. This warranty applies to products (individually called the “Product”) made by Vifa Denmark A/S (“Vifa”). Vifa warrants (“Limited Warranty”) that the Product is free of defects in materials and workmanship at the time of its original purchase in the Vifa webshop by the end-user (the “Customer” or “you”).
  2. All defects in materials and workmanship: This Limited Warranty covers the functionality of the Product for its normal, intended use in an environment as specified in the Owner’s Manual only and does not cover malfunctions resulting from improper or unreasonable use or maintenance, e.g. accident, excess moisture, improper packing, lightning, power surges, or any tampering, alteration, or modification not authorized by Vifa. This Limited Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the Product at Vifa’s discretion, and any costs incurred for transportation, removal, or installation of a product are not covered by this Limited Warranty. Vifa is in no event liable for any indirect or consequential losses or for loss of data, claims from any third party, or loss of profit, irrespective of whether such losses are direct or indirect.
  3. Unless otherwise explicitly stated in documents provided in connection with the purchase, the guarantee period is 24 months/2 years within the European Union, and 12 months/1 year in the rest of the world, unless national regulations are determines it differently. The guarantee period starts when the product(s) is invoiced to customer. However, the guarantee period ceased immediately if the product is repaired or moderated by persons/companies that are not authorized by Vifa, or if the serial number has for whatever reason been removed from the product.
  4. If, during the applicable warranty period, Vifa receives a valid notice of a defect in any product covered by Vifa’s warranty, Vifa will, at Vifa’s option, within a reasonable time after being notified of the defect (a) repair the defect at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, (b) replace the Product, or (c) refund the purchase price of the Product. Response times may vary from country to country and are, among other things, subject to availability of parts and transportation. All replaced faulty parts and components will become the property of Vifa. Vifa is under no obligation to repair or replace the Product or refund the purchase price until the Customer returns the defective Product to the Vifa webshop. Any replacement product may either be new or like new, provided that it has functionalities at least equal to those of the Product being replaced. Repairs outside the Limited Warranty period or of any damage not covered by the warranty will take place only with your prior approval.


  1. Please note products purchased at authorized Vifa resellers must be returned to the same authorized Vifa reseller where the purchase was originally made, unless otherwise agreed.
  2. This will only reply to products purchased in the webshop. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, you can return it for an exchange or refund, provided that the product is returned within 14 days of receipt of your order and that the product is in saleable condition with all accessories and original packing. Otherwise, Vifa will not accept the return. 
  3. Please note that we can exchange or give you a full refund for the product. If the returned product are not substantially in the same condition and quantity as delivered by Vifa, an amount equivalent of the diminished value of the product will be deducted from the payment to be refunded.
  4. The original amount paid for the returned product will be refunded, when we have received the product or documentation for such return.
  5. Refunds are made in the original payment method.
  6. Products purchased in the webshop can only be returned in the webshop.

  8. If you ship the Product, Vifa is not liable for any damage to the Product caused during shipment.
